There are several opportunities to join our group for young researchers from Poland and abroad.

1) Undergraduate students (Chemistry/Biology/Physics)

Two undergraduate students positions (9- and 18-month) funded by a grant of the National Centre of Science (Poland; OPUS program) coordinated by Dr. Joanna Kowlaska is available at the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The successful candidate should hold active MSc student status.

We are looking for post-docs with expertise in organic chemistry, molecular biology, and related fields. Post-doc candidates can apply for individual funding within programmes of the National Sience Centre.


SONATA is a funding opportunity addressed to scientists holding a doctoral degree starting their career in research.

Principal Investigator: a person about to embark on career in research with a doctoral degree obtained within the last seven years prior to the submission of the proposal. A PhD degree holder from 2 up to 7 years post-graduation.

Projects carried out by research teams must consist of  no more than one researcher holding a habilitation degree or the title of professor and on condition that they are collaborators from an institution other than the host institution of the Principal Investigator.

Duration: 12, 24, 36 months

PhD candidates

M. Sc. Degree holders with interest in organic and bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, biophysics or interdisciplinary studies can apply for an appropriate Ph.D. programme to join our group. Typical basic scholarship is 1750 PLN / month, but additional funding opportunities are possible.

Undergraduate students

Students interested in organic and bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, biophysics or interdisciplinary studies are welcome to join us to perform their B.Sc. or M.Sc. research projects or summer practice.
