Two chromatography cooling cabinets (+4°C) are dedicated to DEAE Sephadex ion-exchange purifications. Each cabinet is equipped with two independent systems consisting of peristaltic pump and automated fraction collector.
We have in our disposal five Rotary Vacuum Evaporators (Buchi) connected to membrane vacuum pumps (Buchi, up to 2 mBar) or oil vacuum pump (Labconco, up to 10-3 mBar) and cooled by automatic recirculating chiller (Buchi).
Vacuum drying and Lyophilization
For freeze-drying we use Labconco lyophilizer (Free Zone 2.5 Liter Freeze Dry Systems) with collector temperatures that reach -50° C. For vacuum drying we use Labconco Vacuum Centrifuge.
FT-IR spectroscopy - IRPrestige-21 spectrophotometer with wavenumber range 7,800 - 350 cm-1 . DLATGS detector with Temperature Control for Middle/Far IR, MCT(Hg-Cd-Te) detector with Liquid Nitrogen Cooling for Middle IR, VeeMaxTM II with ATR (variable angle of incidence – 30 to 75 degrees).
Discover SP-D system (CEM) – for small and medium scale microwave assisted syntheses.
Mass spectrometry: API-3200 LC/MS/MS System. A triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with Turbo VTM ion source. (Scan types: Q1 MS, Q3 MS, Product Ion, Precursor Ion, Neutral Loss or Gain, MRM) coupled to Agilent Technologies 1260 Infinity HPLC system.
Routine UV-VIS measurements: UV-Mini-1240 and UV-1800 Shimadzu with 1nm resolution.
For oligonucleotides synthesis we use AKTA™ oligopilot™ plus for synthesis in the 1 to 50 μmol range (up to seven different oligonucleotides in sequence).
For RP HPLC chromatography analyses and purifications we use four Agilent Technologies 1200 Infinity Systems equipped with diode array detector (DAD) and fluorescence detector (FLD). One system is also equipped with auto-sampler and thermostat.
